The applicant is requesting design review approval for a 887 square foot, two-story addition. A conditional use permit is requested to allow the addition to extend into the front yard setback.

a. Status Report on the Proposal to Locate the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory at Golden Gate Fields Property.
The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) is seeking a location for a second campus. LBNL issued a request for proposals from owners of property in the East Bay interested in being considered for this campus.. The Golden Gate Fields (GGF) property in Albany and Berkeley is one six sites selected for further consideration.

b. 835 Evelyn. Planning Application #11-035 Design Review and Front Yard Parking Exception.
The applicant is requesting design review approval for a 452 square foot, one-story addition on the south side of the home to replace an existing garage. Off-street parking would be provided in the side yard and in the driveway in the front setback area.

The applicant is requesting design review approval for a 620 square foot, two-story addition to the rear of the home. The project also includes a new 442 square foot accessory building in the rear yard. Off-street parking would be provided in the garage and in the driveway in the front setback area.

d. 1196 Curtis. Planning Application #10-049. Tentative Parcel Map.
The subject property is a 13,176 square foot parcel with a single-family residence. The applicant is requesting approval of a parcel map to allow the subdivision of the property into two separate parcels. No construction is proposed as part of the current application.

8. FUTURE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA ITEMS
a. Next Regular Planning and Zoning Commission hearing scheduled for Tuesday, July 26, 2011.
b. No Commission meetings will be held during the month of August.
(Staff discussion and Commission member announcement of status of previous agenda items and requests for future agenda items. No public comment will be taken on requests for future agenda items).
