As the Fire Chief for the City of Albany, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website. Please take a few minutes to make yourself familiar with its contents.
There are several links at our website that can provide a myriad of useful information for disaster preparations and fire prevention. We operate seven days a week and 24 hours a day and staff an engine, truck, and an ambulance with a total of six personnel. Your fire department is available to help you at all hours of the day, every day of the week.
Our website is your source for preparedness and fire safety information, as well as CPR training. We also have information and links to information about our very active Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). It is important to know that when a medium to large scale disaster does occur, we will need YOU to be prepared at home, work, and even in your car! Although your fire department staff is very dedicated and does a lot of work, there simply are not enough personnel or equipment at hand, please reach out to your Block Captain and sign-up for FREE CERT training, we need your help! Remember to be prepared, you should have enough food and water for up to a week on your own. Let’s be resilient together!
On behalf of all of us at your Albany Fire Department and the City of Albany, we are proud to be your city staff. We thank you for visiting and feel free to contact us should you have any questions or wish to offer suggestions.
