October 12, 2024

pancake breakfast

This October, during Fire Prevention Week, the Albany Fire Department will be making safety presentations to all of the elementary schools in Albany.  As a finale,  the Albany Fire Department holds a pancake breakfast to benefit the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation. Our last breakfast hosted over 750 people attended and through donations, the purchase of tickets and filling the boot we were able to sponsor two scholarships for Champ Camp.

Sparky the Fire Dog will be in attendance, we will be having raffles, live fire demonstrations, natural gas safety demonstrations, Engines on display, as well as sign-ups for CPR and First-Aid classes.

The breakfast is $10 for adults and $6 for children 3-12 (children 2 and under are free). The breakfast is from 08:00 to 12:00 and will be at the Albany fire station located at 1000 San Pablo Avenue (Behind City Hall on the corner of Marin and San Pablo.) We look forward to seeing you there and come hungry!

Toys For Tots

ToysThe Albany Fire Department in conjunction with Albany Firefighters Association Local 5130 is hosting it's annual Toy Drive this holiday season. We at the Fire department proudly serve our community and those that visit throughout the year. The Holidays however, help provide a wonderful opportunity to reach not only to those in our community but those in neighboring communities.

As many of you know the Holidays can be an especially hard time for some families who struggle to provide the bare essentials. Through this Toy Drive and with your help the Albany Fire Department and Local 5130 are hoping to fill that gap. This time of year is one where we can all come together and share a special gift with a child in need.

If you wish to donate please bring a new unwrapped toy to the Fire Station or one of our designated drop spots by December 20th.

 Associated drop spots:

Albany Fire House 1000 San Pablo Ave.  Albany, CA 94706
