b. Ratification of Albany Municipal Services JPA net payroll in the amount of $56,458.29; taxes, benefits & withholdings in the amount of $58,892.74. Total payroll in the amount of $115,351.03. Payroll period: 05/22/09.
4-3. a. Ratification of bills, claims and demands against the City of Albany in the amount of $284,960.92. Period: 05/01/09.

Social & Economic Justice Commission recommendation: Create a Living Wage Policy in Albany. Commission Chair Margie Marks will present a written document to the City Council that includes recommendations on coverage parameters, wage amounts and enforcement procedures.

Social & Economic Justice Commission recommendation: Establish local economic indicators and consider several items for addressing local concerns. Commissioner Kerr will present a written document to City Council that includes discussion and recommendations on understanding and addressing the impacts of the economy on the residents of Albany.
b. Recommendation from Mayor Atkinson to sponsor a foreclosure prevention workshop for property owners

Mayor Atkinson recommendation: That the City sponsors a workshop on foreclosure prevention and that this be referred to the Social & Economic Justice Commission for its involvement.
