a. 1500 Solano (Safeway). Planning Application #08-031. Design Review. Planned Unit Development.
The applicant is requesting approval to demolish an existing grocery store and to construct a new approximately 55,000 square foot grocery store above a partially sub-grade parking structure containing approximately 125 on-site parking spaces.

b. 822 Pomona. Planning Application 09-069. Design Review.
The subject property is a 3,575 sq. ft. lot with a 1,567 sq. ft. split-level, single-family home. The applicant is requesting Design Review approval to allow a 206 square foot addition to the main level of the home.

c. 542 Madison. Planning Application 10-041. Design Review and Variance.
The subject property is a 2,500 sq. ft. lot with a 1,512 sq. ft. three-level residence. The applicant is requesting Design Review and Variance approval to allow a 165 square foot addition to the rear of the home on the top level. The variance is required to allow a “floor area ratio”, “lot coverage” and side yard setbacks greater than normally allowed in the Hillside Residential zoning district.

d. 1331 Marin. Planning Application 10-045. Design Review.
The subject property is a 4,600 square foot lot with an existing 1,682 sq. ft single story home.
The applicant is requesting approval for a 1,056 square foot second story addition and a 45 square foot addition to the ground floor. An existing canopy in the rear yard is also proposed to be demolished.

a. Next Regular Planning and Zoning Commission hearing scheduled for September 14, 2010. August 10, 2010 and August 24, 2010 regular meetings cancelled for summer recess.
