The City of Albany’s Project HOPE, in collaboration with the City’s service provider Berkeley Food & Housing Project (BFHP), has temporarily housed 10 people experiencing homelessness in Albany in hotel rooms, and provided food and basic need items.

Alameda County has issued an order directing Alameda County residents to shelter at home for three weeks beginning March 17 in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The order limits activity, travel and business functions to only the most essential needs.

We're working closely with Alameda County Public Health to monitor and mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The City of Albany is cancelling all non-essential meetings and events on a rolling 30-day basis to limit exposure and slow the transmission of COVID-19.
