ReservesThe Albany Police Department has a Reserve Police Officer program. These trained volunteers are sworn officers who put in numerous hours every year to supplement and assist the police department by performing as a supplemental force in patrol, traffic control and enforcement, investigations, prisoner transport, and virtually all other day-to-day responsibilities of the department. They also play a key role in community events such as the Solano Stroll, Little League Parade and National Night Out.
