The following provides a summary of the City Council meeting held on April 17, 2017.
Proclamation: the Council presented a proclamation in honor of Gail Drulis on her retirement from the Albany YMCA.
Advisory Bodies to the City Council - Work Plans: the Council reviewed and approved the Arts Committee Workplan (learn more about the Arts Committee).
Master Fee Schedule: the Council adopted a Resolution establishing and amending the City’s Master Fee Schedule for various permits, services and fees, the updated schedule will be effective as of July 1, 2017 (view Master Fee Schedule).
Sanctuary City: the Council adopted a Resolution establishing the City as a Sanctuary City (read more regarding sanctuary city status, diversity & inclusion).
Draft Parking Management Plan: the Council accepted a parking study report regarding the status of parking in Albany (view report).
Bay Area Air Quality District Rule 12-16: the Council reviewed the proposed rule 12-16 and a possible letter of support for the rule. The item will be placed on a future agenda for action (more information on BAAQMD Rule 12-16).
Artificial Turf at Tom Bates Sports Complex: the Council received information and discussed options for artificial turf at the Tom Bates regional sports complex.
The City Council meets regularly on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 7:30pm, in the City Hall Council Chambers – 1000 San Pablo Avenue, Albany.
Meetings are also broadcast live on KALB Cable Channel 33, and streamed on the City’s Website.
