The Albany Little League is sponsoring tomorrow night's (10/01) Albany City Council candidate debate which will focus on youth sports and recreation issues at the Albany Community Center between 7:15pm and 9:15pm.
Six Albany City Council candidates--Robert Lieber, Farid Javandel, Peggy Thomsen, Nick Pilch, Ellen Toomey and Leo Panian--have said they will attend. Albany Little League President, David Preuss, will moderate.
Each candidate will be asked to give a 2-minute opening general statement about why they should be elected and then the moderator will read questions submitted by the audience to which each candidate will be asked to respond. At the end of the debate, each candidate will be asked to give a 2-minute summary of where they stand on youth sports and recreation issues.
