7-1 Introduction of Proposed Artist for Senior Housing Component of UC Village Mixed Use Development
– Belmont Village, the developer of the senior housing component of the project will introduce Bruce Beasley as proposed public artist. The purpose of the agenda is to provide the applicants an opportunity to discuss the public art components of the project.

Staff Recommendation: For discussion and general direction to the applicant. No final action to be taken.

7-2 City-Sponsored and Donated Public Art Policy: Chair Goodman will provide an update from the sub-committee.

Staff recommendation: Information only.

7-3 Albany Film Fest: Chair Goodman will provide an update from the sub-committee.

Staff recommendation: Information only.


8. NEW BUSINESS

8-1 Use of Art in Public Places Funds for the Marin /Curtis Project Crosswalk: The Traffic and Safety Commission is requesting that Art in Public Places funds generated by the Marin/Curtis construction project be used for the creation of a painted crosswalk on Curtis at Sonoma. (Examples attached)

Staff Recommendation: Receive information and make a motion to recommend the use of Art in Public Places funds generated by the construction project to be used for the creation of a painted crosswalk on Curtis at Sonoma.

8-2 Community Center Foyer Gallery Submissions: The committee will review artist submissions and select up to four (4) artists for exhibits in 2015 at the Community Center Foyer Gallery.

Staff Recommendation: Review all submissions and make a motion to recommend up to four(4) artists for exhibits in 2015 at the Community Center Foyer Gallery.
