The Brown Act limits the Committee’s ability to take and/or discuss items that are not on the agenda; therefore, such items are normally referred to staff for comment or to a future agenda.

5-1. Healthy and Sustainable Food policy
5-2. Council Referral Item: From Council Agenda March 7, 2011:
Resolution calling for a constitutional amendment to rectify the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2010 ruling in Citizens United v. the Federal Election Commission that rolled back limits on corporate spending on election campaigns. Council Referral to the Social & Economic Justice Commission for analysis on pros and cons, and suggestions for any alternative language.
5-3. Discussion of California Nurses Association “Main Street Project”
5-4. SECJ formally acknowledge the work the Joanne Wile has done to support and provide access to mental health for low income workers at Golden Gate Fields.
