Council Referral Item: From Council Agenda March 7, 2011: Resolution calling for a constitutional amendment to rectify the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2010 ruling in Citizens United v. the Federal Election Commission that rolled back limits on corporate spending on election campaigns. Council Referral to the Social & Economic Justice Commission for analysis on pros and cons, and suggestions for any alternative language. 5-3. Discussion of California Nurses Association “Main Street Project” 5-4. SECJ formally acknowledge the work the Joanne Wile has done to support and provide access to mental health for low income workers at Golden Gate Fields.
