The Albany Police Department will host its second annual National Night Out event on Tuesday August 5th, 2008 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. The event is scheduled to take place at Memorial park and on a portion of the nearby Albany High School campus. Any community member who wishes to participate is welcome.

The event allows residents to meet their officers on a one-to-one basis - in many cases for the first time. Albany's National Night Out event should offer a little something for everyone.  Informational handouts, hands-on exhibits, demonstrations and equipment displays will abound.

Members of the Albany Police Department will be meeting with citizens and answering questions about how we can continue to work together to keep crime out of our Community.
