Celebrate Earth Day on the Albany Shoreline!! Saturday, April 24, 9am-12 noon
Let’s show our Albany shoreline some love by cleaning it up to celebrate Earth Day! Last year we collected 420 pounds of trash and 62 pounds of recycling. What better way to show our appreciation for Albany’s beautiful waterfront than making it safe for people and critters?
Families and groups are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Wear sturdy shoes, a hat and sunscreen, and bring your own non-disposable water bottle and gloves if you have them. If you’re not up to bending down to pick up trash, we also need volunteers to help sign folks in, hand out refreshments and weigh the trash.
Meet at the foot of Buchanan St. on the north side of Golden Gate Fields
