There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a Commission/Committee/Board Member or a member of the audience requests removal of the items from the Consent Calendar.)

3-1 Approval of pension payments for the month of November 2009 in the amount of $116,251.36.

Staff recommendation: Approve

3-2 Approval of invoice from Wurts & Associates in the amount of $1,750.00 for investment consulting services for the month of July 2009. This is final billing.

Staff recommendation: Approve

4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

4-1 Minutes of the regular meeting of September 29, 2009

Staff recommendation: Approve

4-2 Minutes of the regular meeting of October 27, 2009

Staff recommendation: Approve

5. PUBLIC COMMENT

For persons desiring to address the Commission/Committee/Board on an item that is not on the agenda please note that each speaker is limited to three (3) minutes. The Brown Act limits the Committee’s ability to take and/or discuss items that are not on the agenda; therefore, such items are normally referred to staff for comment or to a future agenda.

6. REPORTS

6-1 Vicken Ekmekjian of Atlantic Trust presenting investment performance report for the period ended October 31, 2009.




7. DISCUSSIONS AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON MATTERS RELATED TO THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

7-1 Discussion regarding why the Pension Board voted to change investment advisors from Wurts & Associates to advisor/manager Atlantic Trust.


7-2 Approval of invoice from the City of Albany in the amount of $1,863.60 for City Administrative services for the month of November, 2009

Staff recommendation: Approve

8. ANNOUNCEMENTS/COMMUNICATIONS

8-1. The next regularly scheduled Pension Board meeting is Tuesday December 29, 2009. We will need to poll the board to determine if a quorum will be available or reschedule the meeting.

9. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS

(Commission/Committee/Board Member announcement of requests for future agenda items. No public comment will be taken on announcement of future agenda items).

10. ADJOURNMENT
