Mayor's Town Hall - Virtual Event

Please join us for a virtual town hall meeting to share your concerns about current events in our nation, systemic racism, community policing, and have an honest conversation about how your City leaders are responding to ensure the well-being and fair treatment of all members of our community.

This will be mostly a listening event, but will feature statements by the Mayor, City Manager, Police Chief, and representative leaders from our community. 

The City recognizes that the death of George Floyd, and too many others, have brought the issue of systemic racism in our country to the fore.

The US, Bay Area, and our own City have seen demonstrations in the past few weeks that show the need for this issue to be examined and discussed in every community. The City has received a great deal of communication concerning this topic and we are committed to hearing from you regarding these important issues to realize real change and create a more inclusive Albany.

Please note, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this will be a virtual event held online. Please see meeting invitation information below as well as instructions on how to participate. Please send in questions or comments you may have at any time in advance of this town hall to: cityclerk@albanyca.org and note "Mayor's Town Hall" in the subject line.

***Please note: there may be a quorum of the City Council or other advisory bodies to the City Council present at this virtual meeting.

1.   This event is streamed live and recorded for viewing on YouTube (www.YouTube.com/AlbanyKALB).

2.   If you do not plan to comment, please consider watching via YouTube live stream to save room in the virtual event for those that wish to comment. We have a 300 person limit in the online Zoom.
