The purpose of the Economic Development Committee is to advise the City Council on matters related to promoting vital and inviting business areas and advancing economic development within the City. The Committee shall assess the current and ongoing business climate in the City and submit recommendations to the City Council intended to maintain a strong economic base in the City. The Economic Development Committee was established by the City Council on July 6, 2015 and meets on the first Thursday of the month at City Hall.

Members of the public may submit comments in writing by emailing the Economic Development Committee at EDC@albanyca.org with the Agenda item number clearly identified in the subject line of the email or by mail to City of Albany – Economic Development Committee Meeting Comments, 1000 San Pablo Avenue, Albany, CA 94706. All written comments received by 5 PM on the day of the meeting will be provided to the Committee and posted on the website. Other written comments received after 5 PM that addresses an item on the agenda will still be provided to the Committee and be included as part of the meeting record.
