11:00-12:00 Electrify Everything

Learn how to take climate action and reduce your reliance on fossil-fuels in your home. At the Electrify Everything workshop, learn about fossil-fuel alternatives for homes and businesses, cars, and space and water heating. At this workshop, you will gain the knowledge and confidence necessary to adopt these climate-friendly measures and join us on the path to carbon neutrality.

12:00-12:30 2020 Carbon Free Albany Challenge Kick-Off

Join the City in kicking off the 2020 Carbon-Free Albany Challenge! Carbon-Free Albany is the City’s community-based carbon reduction platform where you can access resources for electrification, waste reduction and more, and track your carbon reduction progress with each action. During this session, we will provide a brief overview of the platform and kick off the 2020 Carbon-Free Albany Challenge taking place from January 26 through June 7. The team that has reduced the most carbon by the end of the challenge will receive a prize at a celebration event!

12:30-1:00 Light lunch and Carbon-Free Social

Get to know your neighbors and community members. You can share climate action advice and resources you have, and learn from others. This is also an opportunity to form teams with your friends and neighbors and register for the Carbon Free Albany platform!
