Climate Action Committee Meeting:  3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:30PM.  Albany City Hall - Council Chambers, 1000 San Pablo Avenue, Albany, CA.

CLIMATE ACTION AND ADAPTATION COMMUNITY WORKSHOP

Wednesday, January 16, 2019, 7:00pm – 9:00pm

  1. WORKSHOP INTRODUCTION: 7:00pm-7:15pm

    An introduction to the workshop will be provided, including a brief exercise.

  2. CLIMATE ACTION PRESENTATION: 7:15pm-7:35pm

    Staff and consultants will provide a presentation outlining the City’s progress on the first Climate Action Plan and the process for developing the new Climate Action and Adaptation Plan. Workshop instructions will be provided as part of the presentation.

  3. STRATEGY GENERATION: 7:35pm-8:10pm

    Workshop participants will have an opportunity to discuss and write down ideas for climate mitigation and adaptation strategies.

  4. STRATEGY COMMENT PERIOD: 8:10pm-8:45pm

    Workshop participants will have an opportunity to provide written comments on proposed climate mitigation and adaptation strategies.

  5. WRAP-UP PRESENTATION 8:45pm-9:00pm

    Workshop wrap-up presentation, and demonstration of the new, free web platform for residents: Carbon-Free Albany.

  6. PUBLIC COMMENT

    The Public Comment period is an opportunity for members of the public to provide oral comments on items on the agenda. Each speaker is limited up to three (3) minutes. Please note that written comment cards will be available to those who would like to provide comments in writing at any time during the workshop.

As a general policy, the Commission/Committee/Board will not begin discussion or consideration of an agenda item after 10:00 pm.
