The Marin Monster

The Marin Monster 10K fun run is exactly that…a monster of a run! Head straight up Marin Avenue and then weave your way back to the Albany Community Center. The Marin Monster kicks off Albany Local Week (September 23–30). Register early this run sells-out! Take the ALBANY LOCAL WEEK Challenge!

The City of Albany Recreation & Community Services Department is challenging residents to see how much they can do, shop, eat and play within Albany's square mile the week of September 23-30, 2017. ALBANY LOCAL WEEK is an opportunity to discover and celebrate what Albany has to offer while supporting our local businesses and organizations. Local businesses are offering Albany Local Week Specials and there are a number of local events taking place during the week. 

2017 Uber Albany Local: 
Keep track of your Albany activities from September 23-30, 2017 and log your progress on the Official Albany Local Week Scorecard. You earn points in categories such as: Food/Drink, Shopping, Services, Health & Beauty, Recreation & Entertainment, Special Events and Good Neighbor. The person with the top score will be honored with his or her name on the UBER ALBANY LOCAL CUP, which will be put on prominent display at the Albany Community Center. 

Everyone who submits their scorecard by October 6, 2017 will receive a limited edition prize. The winner will be announced and crowned "Mr./Mrs. Uber Albany"at a City Council Meeting.
