Dogs and Albany Parks
We need your input!

The Parks and Recreation Commission would like to meet with you regarding the management of dogs in Albany's parks. On a number of occasions the Commission has heard from concerned citizens regarding how best to share the limited park space with the large number of dogs in Albany parks. There have been concerns raised regarding safety, the need for a leash law, limiting hours in the parks when owners can bring their dogs to the park, etc. The Commission is planning to have a separate meeting for each park as the needs for each park may vary.  The Commission would like as much public input as possible before possibly making recommendations to the City Council.
