3. PUBLIC COMMENT
For persons desiring to address the Commission/Committee/Board on an item that is not on the agenda please note that each speaker is limited to three (3) minutes. The Brown Act limits the Committee’s ability to take and/or discuss items that are not on the agenda; therefore, such items are normally referred to staff for comment or to a future agenda.
4. ANNOUNCEMENTS/DIRECTOR’S REPORT
4-1: Staff will update the Commission on the following items:
1. Introduce the City’s new Urban Forester, John Hawkridge
2. Memorial Bench in Memorial Park
3. Ohlone Greenway: BART, Trash cans at Brighton, Arts Committee
5. PUBLIC HEARING/PRESENTATIONS
5-1: Tree Removal Applications for 501 Pomona Avenue, 711 Evelyn Avenue, 952 Evelyn Avenue and 1021 Stannage Avenue: The Commission will review the applications submitted by the City of Albany for street tree removals connected to City’s Sidewalk Repair Project.
Recommendation: That the Commission approve the street tree removal applications for 501 Pomona Avenue, 711 Evelyn Avenue, 952 Evelyn Avenue and 1021 Stannage Avenue.

5-2: Tree Removal Application for the removal of 14 trees in the Ohlone Greenway: The Commission will review the tree removal application submitted by the City of Albany for the Masonic Sidewalk Project on the eastern side of Masonic between Solano and Washington Avenues.
Recommendation: That the Commission approve the street tree removal application for 14 trees along the western edge of the Ohlone Greenway between Solano and Washington Avenues.

6. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ITEMS ON MATTERS RELATED TO THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
6-1: Ohlone Greenway Memorial Tree: Staff will present information gathered about the Memorial Tree located on the corner of Solano and Masonic Avenues in the Ohlone Greenway.

6-3: Selection of Chair/Vice Chair: The Commission will select a Chair and Vice Chair for 2016.
7. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
(Commissioners announce of requests for future agenda items. No public comment will be taken on announcement of future agenda items).
