b. 800 San Pablo. Continuation of Planning Application 08-008. Design Review. A request for Design Review approval to allow construction of a new canopy over the station pumps at an existing gas station.

5. PUBLIC COMMENT

6. DISCUSSIONS & POSSIBLE ACTION ON MATTERS RELATED TO THE FOLLOWING ITEMS
a. 1500 Solano (Safeway Store) Planning Application 08-031. The applicant is requesting approval to demolish an existing grocery store and to construct a new 60,000sq.ft. grocery store that includes separate retail areas along Solano Avenue plus a 216 space parking garage. Potential approvals required may include an increase in building height, reduced parking requirements and design review.

b. 1112 Ordway. Planning Application 08-027. Design Review. Request for Design Review approval to allow a 239sq.ft., two-story addition to the rear of an existing single-family home.

c. 835 Santa Fe. Planning Application 08-042. Conditional Use Permit, Design Review. A request for Design Review approval to allow a 606 sq ft second-story addition on an existing single-family home. A Conditional Use Permit is requested to allow the vertical extension of the south non-conforming wall.

d. 1020 Curtis. Planning Application 07-042. Review for compliance with Conditions of Approval (two-story addition to an existing single-family home).

e. City Council request for comments and recommendations on establishing Paid Parking Program.

8. FUTURE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA ITEMS
(Staff discussion and Commission member announcement of status of previous agenda items and requests for future agenda items. No public comment will be taken on requests for future agenda items).

b. Regular Meetings of August 12, 2008 and August 26, 2008 will be cancelled for summer recess.
c. Work session on Design Guidelines tentatively scheduled for August 15, 2008.
