6-1 Soda Tax – Jeffrey Ritterman, MD, Retired Chief of Cardiology, Kaiser Richmond Medical Center, Former Richmond City Councilman, Associate Professor, Touro University College of Education and Health Sciences, Vallejo, Vice President, SF Bay Chapter, Physicians for Social Responsibility.

7-1 Soda Tax: The subcommittee will provide an update

Staff Recommendation: Receive information and discuss next steps including a timeline for the creation of a report and presentation to Council.

7-2 Berkeley Mental Health: Member Grossman will provide an update.

8. NEW BUSINESS

8-1 Affordable Housing Town Hall – Member Diehl will provide an overview of the meeting hosted by Assemblymember Tony Thurmond in Oakland November 12, 2015.

Staff Recommendation: Receive information.

8-2 Alameda County Inclement Weather Winter Response: Staff will share information on winter shelters and warming centers in Alameda County.

Staff Recommendation: Receive information.
