Free encore screening of the best short films from Albany FilmFest 2015.
These six shorts (from 2 minutes to 29 minutes long) include two not-to-be-missed films, both World Premieres:
Best Documentary Short, Zuxin Hou's "My Dad's a Rocker," is a glimpse into China's pop music world powered by a daughter's inspiring story of how her musician father fought back from a stroke with punk rock attitude. AFF judge Rick Tejada-Flores calls it "INCREDIBLE!!!!! A wonderful portrait of a man and his times."
Tannaz Hazemi's heartfelt "Before the Bomb" (Best Narrative Short, Best in Show, and Audience Favorite) tells the story of a 10 year old's attempt to prevent Child Protective Services from separating her from her little brother. Our judges agreed with the audience on this one, calling it "An amazing short film . . . Fantastic story and performances."
Some films have adult content and may not be suitable for young children.
