This is a sweet family-friendly event! Through storytelling, we will discuss the history of bees, pollination, honey production, honey harvesting, reproduction, bee safety, physical aspects of bees and the health benefits of honey – all in a lively and entertaining multi-media event. Attendees will learn about the oldest bee found in amber, hexagons and centrifugal force.
Experience live honey bees, including the queen, frames of beeswax and sweet smelling honeycomb and more. Through a puppet show, we will explore the many jobs of a worker bee and learn the bee dance! Each child will receive a honey stick and their own activity book to take home. All ages welcome!
