7-1: Ohlone Greenway Public Art, San Gabriel Play Sculpture: Groundworks will present an updated design for the San Gabriel Play Sculpture ‘Albany Loop’.

Recommended Action: Receive information and make a motion to approve the San Gabriel Play Sculpture design by Groundworks.


7-2: Community Center Foyer Gallery: Member Black will provide an update on the recent gallery opening.

Recommended Action: Information Only


7-3: Ohlone Greenway Public Art, Creek Art: Staff will provide an update on the design selected for Creek Art by Studio 3.

Recommended Action: Information Only


7-4: Albany FilmFest: Chair Goodman will provide an update on the 2017 Albany FilmFest.

Recommended Action: Information Only


7-5: Public Arts Projects Plan (PAPP): The Committee will review the 2016 – 2018 PAPP.

Recommended Action: Receive information and discuss potential of syncing PAPP with 2017 Work Plan

7-6 Review of Committee Work Plan: The Committee will review current Work Plan and outline the Policy Review and Initiatives for 2017.

Recommended Action: Review current work plan accomplishments and begin continue discussion for the 2017-18 Work Plan to be presented to Council in March 2017.

8. NEW BUSINESS

8-1: 2017 Arts and Green Festival Sub-committee: The Committee will formally appoint the 2017 Arts and Green Festival Sub-committee and delegate authority to take action.

Recommended Action: The committee make a motion to select 1-2 members for the Albany Arts and Green Festival Sub-committee and approve authority for the sub-committee to take action as representatives of the Albany Arts Committee.


8-2: Support for Local Artists: The committee will discuss ways of showing support for the arts in Albany and surrounding communities in light of news reports of plans for the elimination of the National Endowment for the Humanities and National Endowment for the Arts programs.

Recommended Action: Discussion


9. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
