The City of Albany has two baseball fields that can be reserved. They are primarily used for but not limited to baseball, softball, and soccer. For organized play/events, the City of Albany Recreation & Community Service Department requires a field reservation permit.

The City of Albany has a total of 8 tennis courts:

Terrace Park: 2 Courts
Memorial Park: 4 Courts (lighted)
Ocean View Park: 2 Court (lighted)

Tennis Courts are open for single-use tennis only. Courts are available on a first come, first serve basis unless reserved through the Albany Recreation and Community Services Department.

If you would like to reserve a court please visit the Online Registration portal. Reservation fees can be found in the Master Fee Schedule.

Tennis courts can be reserved for 30 minute blocks of time.

The City of Albany Friendship Club is an after-school recreation program for school aged children in 1^st through 5^th grades. Children will enjoy arts, science, the environment, engineering, and opportunities to play outside.

The Albany Senior Center is a division of the Albany Recreation and Community Services Department and provides a comprehensive array of services, social and recreational programs, to meet the needs of adults 50 and older in the community enhancing their quality of life and helping them to remain active, healthy and independent.

Try a new sport such as pickleball or get back into a classic like adult coed soccer or coed softball. Contact the Adult Sports Coordinator B. Recreation and Community Services offers a variety of spaces available for use in the Albany Community Center,  Albany Senior Center and Senior Youth Annex.

A parks master plan is a guiding document that sets the strategic direction for the City’s parks, recreation and open spaces. Park users, primarily, Albany residents, provided the basis of direction for this plan. The City of Albany partnered with Groundworks Office to break down the process into concrete tasks, which resulted in the final plan, adopted by the Albany City Council on January 18, 2022.
